A seed is planted in the dark ground. It slowly grows towards the surface of the soil, where it receives nourishment from the sunlight, and becomes a tree with flowers and fruit. Its purpose is fulfilled. The seed of Consciousness has been planted in us. We’ve lost connection to it due to mis-education and all the other influences of unconscious life on this Earth. But we can connect to that seed again. If it sprouts, two branches shoot up, both reaching towards the sun. These two branches need to remain connected to each other. One branch is Being. The other is knowledge. Together, these two give us the possibility to have understanding.
