Breema – The Art of Being Present
Breema is a body-centered, holistic approach to becoming present where connection to the body is a vehicle that connects us to our deeper nature. When body, mind, and feelings work in unity, we become available to a “taste of being present”—a simple and direct experience in the moment free from associative thoughts, reactive feelings, sensations, and concerns of past and future.
The aim of Breema and Self-Breema is to bring that experience of presence to our daily life. The natural, non-judgmental approach to using the body introduces us to a unique quality of movement and touch that supports physical vitality, mental clarity, and emotional balance in any activity we do, opening us up to the possibility of becoming present.
Each exercise provides an ideal opportunity to develop an experiential relationship to one or more of the Nine Principles of Harmony: Body Comfortable, Full Participation, Single Moment/Single Activity, No Hurry/No Pause, No Force, Mutual Support, Firmness and Gentleness, No Extra, and No Judgment.
Breema exercises can be powerful catalysts for living a more harmonious life, reminding us that we can come to balance and presence within ourselves by nurturing aliveness and simplicity at any given moment. All exercises are practiced in comfortable clothing, sitting, standing, or lying on the floor.
This workshop is a wonderful opportunity for movement enthusiasts, bodyworkers, dancers, and anyone interested in the art of being present and a deeper understanding of life that supports harmony and wholeness in themselves and others.
Weekend workshop
Breema offers a tangible experience of presence that is the gateway to a new dimension of health, consciousness, and Self-understanding. Breema’s universal principles help us unify body, mind, and feelings, so we can find meaning in every moment of life.
The weekend workshop will include an experiential exploration of the Nine Principles of Harmony and how they can be applied in any activity or situation. We will work with Breema bodywork and Self-Breema exercises to experience a more receptive mind, supportive feelings, and a vital body.
This workshop is for anyone interested in a practical way to move towards real heath, vitality, and a more meaningful life.
