Breema bodywork and Self-Breema for Practitioner Course

Becoming a Breema Practitioner offers much more than a certification. It’s a life-enhancing, profound way to care for yourself as you learn how to be of real help to others. By participating in an immersive course, your relationship to the Nine Principles of Harmony receives regular support, and your understanding of life and your role in it deepens. You develop body-mind connection that gives you a strong foundation for relating to all aspects of life.

Students will receive an experiential education in the philosophy and principles of Breema, and a practical education that will give them the ability to safely and effectively practice Breema as a practitioner. The practice and principles of Breema can be applied and integrated into a variety of professions.

We will learn and practice a wide range of bodywork and Self-Breema sequences, all living expressions of the Nine Universal Principles of Harmony. As we study the comprehensive philosophy of Breema, we learn to apply the principles and philosophy of Breema in our own lives.

Studying Breema is experiential—we learn, first, with the body, and the emphasis is on our own experience. Succinctly put, to study Breema is to study oneself. Breema offers perspectives and experiences that can become the foundation of a profound self-understanding with the potential to have a transformative effect on one’s life.

Quotes from Instructors

After more than forty years of practicing Breema professionally, I still find it the most effective and transformative method I have ever known. Because it's based on a profound understanding of the universal laws that affect us, and directly addresses our fundamental structural, physiological, energetic, and psychological organization as  humans, it's a phenomenal catalyst for improving physical, mental, emotional, and social health. Every person who studies Breema can apply it in their own life and profession to find greater meaning, satisfaction, and benefit. I wish everyone the opportunity to experience the essential support that Breema offers!

Jon Schreiber, DC, Director of the Breema Center and Breema Clinic

Breema’s comprehensive, dynamic, somatic, and profoundly practical approach to understanding the purpose of life is without parallel, and offers a true window into both developmental psychology and the meaning of Consciousness. Its  simple, holistic  practice and principles can be applied to any activity and to every helping profession with an increasingly beneficial result for both practitioner and client.

Angela Porter, LMFT, Psychotherapist, Graduate Psychology Professor, Trauma Specialist, and Breema Instructor

Breema infuses my life and medical practice with its dynamic, profound, and common-sense approach, that simultaneously supports the part and the whole, the practitioner and the patient, the individual and the universal. The magic of Breema is its practicality—starting with a direct experience of the body, we can develop a nurturing and supportive relationship with ourselves, from which we can offer true support to others. Breema addresses the visible manifestations of distress, yet looks at the state of the body and the planet as catalysts for inner growth.

Alexandra Johnson, MD, Integrative Family Medicine Doctor and Breema Instructor

After practicing and teaching Breema for over 30 years, my respect and love for this approach to real health is stronger than ever. Breema gives me a solid foundation for meeting the challenges and demands of life with presence and harmony. The way it releases mental and emotional as well as physical tension is essential to health. Doing Breema bodywork, I move and use my body in a unique way that nothing else approaches—it's as important for my body as my exercise program.

Denise Berezonsky, Associate Director of the Breema Clinic, Breema Practitioner and Instructor

Breema is so effective therapeutically because it addresses the full spectrum of our human experience.  Breema dissolves the fundamental misconceptions that prevent us from experiencing health and well-being. Instead of fighting dis-ease, we can increase vitality, bringing mind, body, and feelings to function in unity. For over 20 years, Breema’s Nine Principles of Harmony have guided my work, allowing me and my clients to both be nurtured and energized by our exchange.

Matthew Tousignant, Somatic Psychotherapist and Breema Instructor

The feeling that I am doing something meaningful for my life has always been rooted in my connection to the body. As a dancer, I see my body’s movement as a relationship to a bigger picture that ultimately includes so much more than any technique I have studied. After twenty-five years of learning and practicing a wide variety of movement modalities, Breema and the Nine Principles of Harmony have fundamentally shaped my approach to health and my work as a somatic educator and Nia instructor. Breema’s holistic philosophy applies to the work I share with students in my dance classes and  inspires me with a direction for daily living-- to accept my body’s experience, allowing it  to be a trustworthy guide, free of judgment, to listen to my body’s inherent potential, moment by moment, with body-mind connection, and to support it to let go of unnecessary tension or force. When I remember to apply these simple aspects of Breema, I experience more aliveness in myself, and nourishment for my body, mind, and feelings to work together and dance through life harmoniously.

Alexis Mulhauser, Nia Dance, Yoga, and Breema Instructor
