Breema relates to the body as a vehicle to enter into the present moment. Through presence, when we experience the innate intelligence and instinctive wisdom of the body, anything we do is Breema and can connect us to our deeper nature.
In this workshop, we will explore how the nurturing and dynamic movements of Self-Breema exercises and Breema bodywork support the body, mind, and feelings to work together. In the atmosphere created by coming to body-mind connection, there is an aliveness we can bring to all activities in life.
The aim of Breema and Self-Breema is to bring that experience of presence to our daily life. The natural, non-judgmental approach to using the body introduces us to a unique quality of movement and touch that supports physical vitality, mental clarity, and emotional balance in any activity we do, opening us up to the possibility of becoming present.
Many and varied, the Breema movements include gentle stretches, rhythmic movements, and unique postures, and range from energetic and playful to calm and contemplative. Each exercise also provides an ideal opportunity to develop an experiential relationship to one or more of the Nine Principles of Harmony:
Body Comfortable, Full Participation, Single Moment/Single Activity, No Hurry/No Pause, No Force, Mutual Support, Firmness and Gentleness, No Extra, and No Judgment.
Breema can be a powerful catalyst for living a more harmonious life, reminding us that we can come to balance and presence within ourselves by nurturing aliveness and simplicity at any given moment.
All exercises are practiced in comfortable clothing, sitting, standing, or lying on the floor.
